Same here. I supposedly bought the factory alarm, but both my remotes have trunk buttons. What is it exactly that doesn't work correctly with these remotes? I seem to be able to arm and disarm the alarm without problem. Of course, I never got any instructions on operating the alarm...

The manual says, under the heading "Disarm/Valet Switch Disarming (During Alarming):
!. Enter the vehicle and insert the ignition key. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
2. Press the Disarm/Valet Switch. The Disarm/Valet Switch will disarm the system when the system is alarming.

The Disarm/Valet Switch, for those who did not install the factory alarm themselves, or who are missing the manual, is the momentary push button located on the panel covering the steering column, just above your left knee. This means that if you have a legitimate key and wish to silence the horn, you can do so by switching the power on and pushing the Disarm/Valet Switch.

By the way, there is a "Valet Mode", which allows you to temporarily place the alarm on hold, preventing it from being armed while it is being "washed, serviced, or valet parked."

Placing in Valet mode:
Disarm system
Remove ignition key and press and hold the Disarm/Valet switch for more than 3 seconds.
The Status LED will flash once.

Exit from Valet mode:
Withe system in Valet mode and key out of ignition, press and hold the Disarm/Valet switch for more than 3 seconds.
The Status LED will flash twice.

You drove the car home with the alarm going off? Hehehe...that's gotta be the funniest sight for bystanders.

Yes. The button is just under the steering wheel. I had my car for two years before I knew about this.
