My car is still stock. Going to a lighter flywheel is something I've thought I might try when I "need" to replace the clutch but probably won't go to the trouble before that.

When you're talking about accelerating a given amount of mass to 9k rpms, lighter is obviously better but I haven't a clue what the actual hp improvements would be.

I found your comment on rev matching interesting. One of the biggest problems I have with rev matching (I'm talking down shifting here) is that the engine revs so quickly that I usually overdo it. A lighter flywheel would only make that problem worse which is why I'm not totally convinced it's something I want to do.

FWIW!

Ya I got mine done with the clutch TSB, so it was good. And ya I'm sure it probably does free up some hp...but the butt dyno wasn't that convinced.

As far as rev matching...personally, to me it makes it easier because it just takes a very quick stab of the throttle then into gear and slip the clutch, all within that second...just modulate the gas a little better I guess, maybe this would make it easier for you as well since it would be more "touchy" per se. All you'd need is that quick stab instead of the longer stab...idk what I'm talking about anymore

So, should I not get one? Or should Iwait til' I replace the Clutch? I really don't want to hurt my acceleration (0-60), will getting a flywheel really hurt my 0-60???
