Can anyone tell me how that little panel is removed? Does it just pop out or is it screwed in from the back? Thanks.

Here's the plan:

- Obtain RHD cruise control button.
- Remove white paint that says "Cruise Control"
- Place new white logo "fog light" button on the button

Wala.

Where can we find the RHD cruise control button?

Go to Raybrig's product page located here: http://www.raybrigusa.com/html/products.html and look at the HID Assist Lamp series, or go straight to the line up page at: http://www.raybrigusa.com/html/hid_series.html
I checked out my local Raybrig outlet on Friday after seeing the Type 200 HID Assist in a brief writeup/photo on a silver S2k in the April edition of Sport Compact Car magazine. They were mounted either side, inside the opening at the top of the front grill. They're rectanglar and look as if they'll fit without any cutting of the cross piece. These HIDs were priced at $1299 in the store I went to, but I later found them through a net search for $895. I must admit, they may be expensive, but they really do look sharp.

I think if you check, the RHD cruse control switch is still on the left side. I could not find the same switch for mounting on the right. You can use the left side one, it fits in the hole but it does not sit flush and is tilted in the wrong direction. BTW the blank just pops out it is not screwed in. Reach around from the back (not that easy to do) and press in the clips to push it out.

That's a question for the Brits or Aussies. Is the cruise control switch on the left or right of the steering wheel? My guess is that Mr. Bill is correct - it's on the left on RHD.

Thanks for the education, I am now enlightened .
Pretty cool, eh?
Yes they are, but as you stated, they are quite pricey, though some are less than the litronics (HID) upgrade for the $42,000 Boxster or $50,000 Boxster S .

Yeah. I would love to get the Raybrig Type 100 HID assist lamps (the round ones). They look great. I'd like to flush mount them in the little fake brake duct holes at the bottom corners of the front bumper. Problem is this: Pay $900 for some fog lights and then have a rock fly up and hit one of them (breaking it). That would suck -- and would most likely happen knowing the roads we all traverse.

Unfortunately my manual is on loan to AusS2K so cannot check for certain. But my memory is that on one side is the REAR Fog light switch, on the other side is the cruise control switch.

Now as to which is which I have no idea as Oz gets neither. Once I get the chance to recheck my manual (or AusS2K might) I will post an answer.

Now that makes sense--it's for the REAR fog light switch. I had always wondered what that switch blank plate was for. I didn't think about European cars (Japanese too?) having rear foglights. Now all we need is a way to buy the switch.
