In my car, that blank is where my rear defroster is. If I were to get a hard top would I need that module to operate the rear defroster?

The hardtops have these huh...WHICH MEANS I cant get this for my convertable if I buy a hardtop right...were talking the S2's that the hardtop cant comeoff right

Really? So what's in the space opposite your cruise control master switch on the dash? I thought that's where the defrost button is on your '02.
I would think that if you use that button to operate the defrost on your soft top, it will be the same button that will operate the defrost on your hardtop.

 

Yes, you can buy this module for any AP1. Actually, to call it a "module" is not quite right. It's just a place to install the button for the rear defroster on an '00 and '01 car with a HT. You can install the switch on either side. I just chose to put it on the right side.
