folding top when cold

Or just push gently back on the top edge of the window as it fold.
This is a common problem this time of year.

I don't think you need to ... it works fine sitting inside and applying light pressure to the overhead support bar as it folds back. Those elastic bands just need a little help when they're cold.

Maybe I'm a wimp, but if the weather's below 50-55, I never put the top down.

Also, to keep the window from smearing, you could place a towel before you put the top down.
