Default Freshen and sell or as is

I am selling my S2000. I would like some advice on the best (or at least the consensus) way to go about it. I owe just below retail on the car and it has a couple of minor flaws.

The front bumper needs repainting (OK this one is not minor and at least $400)
Small door dings on the drivers side quarter. Paintless for $75
Needs tires. Planning on ES-100s
Needs alignment. Too aggresive- wore out inner shoulders on the front.
Needs paint and interior detail.

Right now I am planning on doing all of the above before I post it for sale. My question is at what point I am spending more on the corrections than on the below retail price?
Between the tires and the front end repaint, I am in for at least $1000.
Would you rather pay the retail price as is $20k or $19k and fix it yourself?

Fix the dings, get slightly used tires, detail the interior and exterior, but forget the alignment and the painting.
The next guy can do the alignment. It's not something that can be seen anyway, nor will it increase or decrease the car's value. A repaint will only cause suspicion in any prospective buyer. They may think the car has been "fixed" from a bad collision and they'll walk. If I'm looking at a used car, I prefer to see bad old paint than a new paint job that might be hiding something.

I agree. since you're obviously dumping the car you won't be choosing the best paint job so it can come out not as expected.

I wouldn't even bother with the tires, when the buyer points out that they're bald, take $500 of your inflated price as a peace offering. Nothing helps to sell like a bargain, even if its only perceived.

forget the tires, they r expensive. You don't need to fix it up to "tip top" shape, it won't be your "baby" anymore. Not worth the trouble for the money, especially the paint
