Front Jack Lift Point?
Just purchased a floor jack so I can lift my S onto jack stands. In reading previous posts on the subject I'm still not clear where the center, front lift point is (I understand that the differential works fine for lifting the rear). Can someone describe or post a pic of the front lift point???
Thanks.
Thanks.
It's on the front crossmember as I recall, and I think there's a cut out arrow to show where the jack cup goes. There are relatively few (and expensive) jacks that will reach this area without at least driving the car up on a couple of boards first.
I took the advice I got here and use the side jacking points and then slide the stands in one side at a time. There are some good pics in the "Under The Hood" Forum. It's in "Commonly Asked Questions." There are a ton of DIYs there.
Of course, maybe you bought the super deluxe extra low profile incredibly long reach DQ jack, in which case, I'll shut up now.
