I have the IDi Amuse style front lip, I scrap once in a while but then again my car is lowered about 1" or so. But even last year before I lowered it it would scrap once in a while on really steep driveways or the like. But it really doesn't matter because its on the bottom and you can't see it anyway.

I completely demolished mine by trying to (accidentally) drive over one of those parking blocks that I didn't see. Practically ripped it off of the car. I bought a new one, but haven't put it on yet. I'm waiting until the one that's still on the car falls off.

I actually just went out to my car to wipe the number off the window from the track last week and noticed that my lip is starting to crack. It's not horrible, but I know I had hit a cement parking block and i'm sure that did it... those things suck

I just put on a CM front splitter, looks good, and simple on a black car. It reminds me of the touring and lemans car set up for down force. does it function, I have no Idea, I hope so. It is not that low, but I do scrape if I am not really careful, however it is metal, so no cracks if I do.

I have the OEM lip that I ordered from Handa online and it was only $300ish. It was a fast install and I've not scraped it yet.....but then I almost always back-in to park

One more thing to add, the OEM piece is pretty strong under normal driving incidents such as curbs and road debris. Mine is cracked in at least 5 places, but you would never know unless you look underneath the car. Still works!

i thought I left a message here ??? ok

i have had both an amuse and OEM lip. OEM very few problems assuming you are careful on dips and bumps and such. Amuse takes a little more care, since it is lower and protrudes out a little bit. Now if you drop the car as well...you'll have to be EXTRA careful.
