I checked the mileage at my last fill up, (Ouch! We have to use premium - found some at 2.41 per gallon and was happy find it at that price!!) and I got 27.3 mpg. My commute is about half city and half highway, and I drive fairly conservatively - no launches, etc.

I usually average 24-26 mpg with mixed driving (thats with some vtec moments). My personal best was all highway cruising at a constant 80 mph and the car sipping one gallon to 28.5 miles!I was shocked considering the car is supercharged.

Hmm...maybe I had a freak car, but the sp2 that I drove ~150mi home got right around 33mpg with more than a couple romps to vtec land...

To be fair, I always get good mileage out of cars because of the way I drive them and the roads were 55mph, so we were going 60 to a max of 70.

I was very surprised and impressed by 30+mpg out of this car!

MUST BE NICE!!! In the past few days, the cheapest I found was 2.87/gal. I can guarantee it's up a few cents since my last fill-up.

i dont tihnk i ever hit 250 before, highest i remember is like 220

usually hit 180-200 and thats right before the light comes on

but i prob vtec 100 times and stay in higher rpms all day long
this sounds like my mileage...

I am usually filling up at 200-210 miles on odo - taking 10.5-11 gallons - light goes on around 190-200...

mostly suburban stop & go with some short highway runs...

So many different factors influence gas mileage. Some, we can control. Others, like outside temperature and wind speed and direction we can't. Here in Oklahoma in the hot and humid summer, I ger 23 to 24 mpg in suburban driving ---with the AC compressor running all the time. And engines don't like hot air. In the other seasons, I get around 25 mpg suburban. And there is the wind. A few weeks back I drove south to Dallas and back. Driving down there about 80 and bucking a fairly strong wind out of the south, I got 26.5 mpg. On the return trip with identical driving, BUT with that strong south wind at my tail, I got 29.5 mpg.

Thanks,
Richard
