Total spent on fuel: $2,116.00
Total gallons purchased: 912.16
Avg. days between fillups: 7.63
Avg. miles between fillups: 222.5
Average MPG: 24.2
Average miles per dollar: 10.4
Average fuel price: $2.347
Average gallons per fill-up: 9.12

These are my current statistics since purchasing the car in June '03. I'd say my car sees approx 70% hwy, 30% twisty roads-- only a weekend toy, never for commuting, rarely turn on the AC. I fill up with Chevron Supreme 99% of the time, unless I can't find a station. I also use standard Chevron oil. YMMV

p.s.-- for a long time I was filling up when there were 3 bars left on the gauge, but that meant I was always carrying around an extra 3-4 gallons of fuel, so I've started filling up soon after the gas light turns on, which is typically around the 10.5 gallon range. I think that leaves me with ~2.5 gal in the tank when after the fuel light comes on. (correct me if I'm wrong) And filling up when the fuel light comes on gives me approx 260 miles, +/- 10

I am on around 300 and refuel about 10 gal. I do 80% highway and 20% city. Best I got was from ashville back to Raleigh on cruise which hit 330 and fueled 10.3 gal.

I dont know about other people but that weekend at Dragon I actually did 27 mpg running back and forth on the dragon... is it because WTO? I thought that should kill the milage... or maybe its my miscalcuation...

The worst was last week I got stuck in traffic 4 days in a row, running AC and got 280 and refueled about 10gal also.

240 miles for me on a full tank is pretty much a given.

and i tend to fill up promptly after the gas light comes on and there's only one bar left. not brave enough to drive much more once i'm left on that last bar.

when i fill up it's rarely over 11 gallons.

HMm after reading everyone's posts... makes me wonder what is wrong with mine... I get 180~190 max... with full tank... i might over-rev because this is my first manual tranny car but still I don't even go VTEC that much... does the fact that my S is neither daily driver nor long distance (max trip I get is 10 miles one way) contribute to such a oddly low fuel efficiency?? My car is bone stock.. (even has rubber between springs )

are you joking about the rubber between your springs? aka spring spacers?....

Same here, if you're serious, you really need to take those out. It's holding back alot of performance and is quite dangerous.

I get 24-26 mpg. I only Vtec getting on the freeway, and then downshifting on the freeway. Not many places around town for me. When I do a little more freeway, it's about 26-28. I will find out exactly what I get this Monday when I drive to Vancouver, BC and back on a full tank. I can get about 320 miles or so with 75% freeway and 25% city? So I wont make the entire trip (175 each whay), but damn close!
