Mine isn't a DD, but I have been DD'ing it and it's not bad. Drive it to and from work. It gets relatively decent gas mileage, and it makes going to work less unbearable, and enhances leaving work. Many people DD them with no problems... it sounds like you won't even be putting a lot of miles on it if you are daily driving it. BTW, I hope you'd be buying it and not leasing.

You're in FL, so the winter isn't an issue.

If you take it easy until you get used to the car, you won't have any issues as a novice. You'll learn as you drive it though. And take it to the local speedway.

The first few years have a clutch buzz or 1-2 grind on occasion, but as long as you have a good mechanic look and make sure you're not buying a damaged car (run without oil or unrepaired accident type stuff) you'll be fine. it's a great car as there isn't much but tires to replace.

tires are expensive and regular, and insurance isn't always cheap either.

but I DD mine and i love it. again, best part of the day. i usually take the long way in to work.

I DD mine and absolutely love it. I really wish I could garage it to keep off the miles and keep it in perfect condition but I don't have another car to use. Either way though I wouldn't trade it for anything. Every trip to work or school is like a small vacation. Gas mileage is pretty decent as well. That is if you don't vtec it constantly

I DD 300+ ml/wk and have a lot of fun doing it. I still have my 97 Nissan 4x4 for hauling when I need it. Seating is snug and the suspension is stiff, so test drive before you buy. As they say, "two adults and a gallon of milk..., the gallon of milk has to go in the trunk". Perfect for the single life!

If you live in Florida, my main concern would be the high rate of thefts there. Just browse this forum and you'll find dozens of threads about stolen seats in southern Florida. In any case, good luck and remember that driving the S2000 is very often the best part of the day.

I used to daily drive mine the first summer I got mine, but now I only daily drive it when my truck is out of comission or when I am looking for a good time. As far as being a nmovice you will be fine. Just respect the car and it will respect you back. There seem to be a lot of thefts of seats and what no on s2000s in florida though, so you may invest in a hard top or a good car alarm if you have ti leave it pakred outside at night. Other than that no problems for y9ou at all. Have a good one.

I have sold both my truck and my IS300 leaving only the S and the WRX as my vehicles. The wife DD's the WRX and I the S when I am home and I love it. Granted if I am picking up more than dinner, a couple of DVD's, and maybe some soda I need to take the other car but for normal running around, I couldn't ask for anything more.

1. Since you live in FL, you'll worry about seat theft almost 38472 times a day. But if you can live with then it is perfect.

2. This car will point out your flaws and you'll learn faster.

3. Obbssesive compulsive-ness with keeping it clean.

Shouldn't worry about space either. You'll be surprised how much you can fit into the trunk. Especially with the spare tire/tools out.

I DD mine and its great. There is more space in the trunk than you think. My only complaint is that there isn't too much space to hold things in the cabin area. It is a 2 seat roadster though.

Consider what others have mentioned and make sure you test drive a couple of times. Be careful in the rain.

Bottom line- the car is fun to drive!
