Get a hardtop, it gives the interior more space and will give you better visibility and with the hardtop on it looks much better than having the rag-top up.

 

I used my 2005 as a daily driver for about a year and a half (I live in So Florida also). It was my company car! They paid for the monthly note, the insurance and the gas. I eventually had to get something with a back seat (for reasons totally unrelated to work). It was totally livable and the ride home October through April was the highlight of the day (top down!). I put 25,000 miles on it in 18 months.

I recently got a 2006 to replace it (kept the four door). It's my weekend toy now!
