FUTURE OWNERSHIP
fortunately, now and then i drive my wife's car. and last week, i had to get a warranty repair done (new top), and since it took them 2-3 days, they got me a rental. it was a 2.5L altima with a CVT auto and no interior options. wow.
the performance letdown was expected. but the thing i was surprised about was that the s2000 even trumped in comfort and ergonomics. COMFORT of all things! i even got poorer gas mileage in the rental because i was lead footed since the thing had no go.
I hate daily driving mine. Too many squeaks and rattles. Stereo is garbage. Hard to get in and out. Seating position is not comfortable for me. Shifter is too notchy. Suspension is too stiff. Too much wind in the cabin on the interstate.

I love every second of driving mine, wouldn't trade it for the world.
This is great stuff guys. The theft thing is a kinda making me #$%@ bricks though. I think I'll be ok because I live in Jupiter, FL not an inner city like Tampa, Miami, or even Ft. Lauderdale. Ever since I first saw one of these at the NY Autoshow in 1999...I knew I had to hve one. I'm no one of these types that buys cars for the way it makes me look...I want an s2k for the way it makes me feel...Does this make sence?
I just test drove one today and Id have to say that it takes some getting use to. Blindspots are nearly impossible to see with the top up. Clutch is pretty stiff so you might get frustrated with everyday traffic. Otherwise its a great car.

It's funny. Some days after a long day at work, or a particularly tough game of hockey, I really don't wanna drive my S cause my body/mind is sore and I don't wanna deal with the squeaks, stiff suspension and cabin noise. So the next day I drive the Corolla. After a couple of minutes, I always immediately wish I was back in the S.
I think that says everything about what it's like to drive the S. The little flaws here and there give a great car even more character, and you don't mind them because the overall package is so damn good.

Since you are just an "Enthusiast" (or a troll), Perhaps a Buick is more appropriate for you.
