Default Gas issues

I have a 2001 s2k with 15k. I am not complaining on the fact that i am wasting more money on gas but i have a question

when i bought my s2k about 4 month ago, i use to get about 22mpg in the city.. now, i am getting about 16mpg without pusting my car

i usually shift around 3200-3800...

any ideas

Change the plugs and adjust valves. Probably never been done.

Check your tire pressure.

BTW...since you are new and have an early AP1, if you haven't read about this already, make sure you are checking your oil frequently. The early cars use oil...as much as 1.5qt per 3k miles.

08 yellowcr, can you describe your tire pressure and driving habits. I have a 08 base, and i get approx 20 with a mix of city and highway, prolly 60/40 highway city, and i drive pretty gently, faster on the highway, and some higher revs occasionally in the city. I'd like to get that mileage.

negcamber:
1. Check your tire pressure .. Already done
2. Oil levels are very good after 1 k of use

s2k dre:
1. Plugs are new
2. Valves adjustment.. ill try that

my friend has an 00 s2k and he gets around 24mpg in the city without driving hard. And his car has 87k

in my understanding, lower miles gives u better results in MPG.
