I am going to call a major BS on this.

I am running all season tires in AP1 stock size.

I have average 28.554 (yes I track my mpg) for the 13,591 miles I have put on my 03 in the 18 months I have had it. I do very little city driving as I have a DD. The average of 5 best tanks = 33.7
The average of 5 worst tanks = 23.69

16 does sound a little low, but 28 in the city is complete BS.

This comming from the guy who ran 404 miles in a single tank. Link below.

MPG has alot to do with how you drive, not what you drive.
yea, i noticed that as well. thats about what i get on the highway driving like an old lady.

regardless, i bought this car to have fun with it, not to be overly concerned with gas mileage.

I have noticed that my S2000 doesn't get the mileage that it used to. Its a 2003, and I keep it in great condition. I don't rev it and we dont have hills in florida. I might get 18 around town. It was supposed to get 20 in town and I drive gently....haha

Hmmm, that sounds prety smart. I never tried that due to being scared.

Are u doing 270mph city?
That would be a bit of both, but I was driving kinda conservative to see what miles per tank I was getting.

To the OP AND the guy who is getting over 28 MPG:

Get a locking fuel cap. Your mileage numbers may come back in line.

Spyder, did your dating status change? Generously built GF maybe? With all this tech talk about MPGs and commutes we sometimes overlook non-automotive issues.

I get about 270 miles to the tank, and that's with ~2-3 bars left. (I can't stand driving on an almost empty tank)

And yeah, YellowCR is obvioulsy talking out of his ass.

Ethanol? 10% in your gas = about a 10% reduction in mileage...
