Mine goes back to dim. Not a big deal. I've done it so many times now, I don't even think about it anymore. It's just habit now to reach in there and hold the button.

**EDIT** Oh and the AC thing...

come on, it's a $30k car without a climate control. We do what we can.

This is a poor man's car. it's only 30k...

we're like a laughing stock for those benz E class owners or ferrari owners, or even any suv owners.

To deactivate automatic a/c feature on 2002 CR-V:

1) Turn vehicle off.
2) Turn fan knob off.
3) Turn temperature knob all the way to the left (blue area).
4) Turn vent knob to panel only setting (next to max a/c).
5) Hold down both air recirculation button and a/c button while starting car.
6) Continue holding for 7 seconds until air recirculation button stops flashing.

To reactivate automatic a/c feature on 2002 CR-V:

1) Turn vehicle off.
2) Turn fan knob off.
3) Turn temperature knob all the way to the left (blue area).
4) Turn vent knob all the way to the right (defrost position).
5) Hold down both air recirculation button and a/c button while starting car.
6) Continue holding for 7 seconds until air recirculation button stops flashing.
7) After the 7 seconds described in step 6, the recirculation button will start to flash. Continue to hold the button for another 7 seconds. After this, the a/c light will turn to green and it's finished!

Although this write up is based on a Honda CRV it also works for the S2000. I've done it twice so far. If you in any case dis-connect your battery terminal, you'll have to go through the process again.

sweet!

I guess the trick to s2000 is just find a button or buttons and start holding it down to see what it does.

i'm gonna try the start button and ac button together today. lol!

Maybe you'll get 50 more whp if you hold the cruise control and rear windshield defroster together while starting the car. Sort of like the "m" button on the M5.

Forget the climate control, how about a key light? Or a door key light? Like my 88 mazda had...
