Oh no, I was really hoping that this setup made NO creaks or clunking noises. I really get annoyed by unwanted sounds. Is there any component(s) that we can lube\grease to avoid these sounds?

 

I am like you...I don't want any of the extra noises!

BTW...I am far more concerned with the clunking noises than the squeaking noises.

 

How low is your car? If the car is slammed, there may not be enough spring tension and they are becoming unseated over large bumps.

 

Who did the install? I would would take it up with them, as that is not normal.

 

I have GC and Koni yellow's on my civic, but I'm guessing that the setup is fairly similar. It's been a couple years since I did the install, but I know that there was an adaptor piece that fit on the body of the shock in order to accept the GC sleeve. Normally lowering springs use the silver "cup" that comes w/ the yellow's, but the GC's had a "ring" that fit over the clip that allow's you to select the ride height on the shock itself. If the people that did the install used the "cup" instead of the "ring" fitting, then sleeve/spring assembly might not be seated correctly. I hope I explained in a clear manner.

 

I only had it lowered 1.5" all around.
