Default Gears for Ap2 (my07)

Ok well i've been reading and reading but it seems like no one can really give out an answer to which gear is best for the AP2. I see that everyone is talking about the Ap1 and 4.7 FD. I just want to know which gear is good for the AP2 for DD/Track. I wanted to go for the 4.7 but it seems like ppl are saying 4.7 is to much for the ap2? I don't want the 4.56 cause i read that it makes a noise. So is my option really only a 4.4? or would i be able to still use the 4.7?(hopefully that doesn't kill my gas that much more than stock) Or should i just not get gears and spend the money else where. Please don't tell me to go FI i wanna stay N/a

Regards,

David

Problem is that your not reading past posts where many people have clearly said that the best for the ap2 are the 4.44's and anything higher may be to much. It depends on what your looking for...final decision is yours.

For DD/track (road course) use, I'd spend money elsewhere. Gearing is as likely to hurt you as to help you. Corners that were 2nd gear in the powerband can easily become 3rd gear corners below the powerband. Gears are great for accelerating from zero, but not necessarily any benefit at all at a road course. Optimal diff gearing would be dependent on the track, and for many tracks stock gearing is good.

ap2 tranny with 4.7 would be overkill, imo. ap1 with 4.57 as a daily was perfect for me.
