I agree that the S2000 will most likely accelerate slower than the MR2t. But depending on your personal tastes, the actual enjoyment of driving the car could very well be much greater. I test drove a '93 MR2t a while back and really enjoyed it - if you like your current car I predict you'd enjoy the experience of an S2000 much more so than something along the lines of, say, a Z06.
I also have an MR2 Turbo & I'm buying Lil Raja's spa 02 S2000 next Friday. Please see this post for more info about my test drive:

I'm also keeping the MR2 (150,000 miles). It's too much fun & gets too many compliments for me to sell it.

Thanks for the info guys.
I also like the tendancy to oversteer, I feel it has made me a much better driver. My MR2 has only tried to come around on me once and it was my fault. The tires were cold, the road was cold and I shifted in the middle of a right turn. The back came out to the left 90 degrees, I over-corrected so it came out to the right 90deg and it went back and forth like that a few times. I didnt hit anything or spin completely but it was enough to scare me.
Selling the MR2 is a necessary evil. I have a 1992 Oldsmobile as a daily driver that is more reliable than time and I am also trying to save money so I can move to California next June.
