Default Good deal? Bad deal? Fair?

I am looking to purchase my first S2000. I have been looking at this car since last summer and have been wanting this car since seeing F&F. I recently have seen one I was ready to buy. I met with the owner, test drove it. minor body wear and tear, the seats were in good condition and was garage kept. The deal came down to $12,200. The car itself is a 2002 ap1 with 96k miles, clean title. Would this be a good deal? I based it off of Kelly bluebook which showed $10,350 should be the starting point on negotiation. I'm in Illinois. Insight would be appreciated. Thank you.

Sounds prety fair to me based on metrics provided. Did you get a good feeling from the owner? Without knowing you're wrenching skills would suggest a having a shop do a once over on it.

Fellow IL guy here in the north burbs if you want to PM.
