is this a good deal or talk them down?
ok so i went back to the dealership today and unfortunately and i did however tried my best to negotiate pointing at how the front lip had scratches and some on the rear bumper or any flaws that could possibly consider them to lower the price but they wouldnt budge even a couple hundred bucks..
they gave me an honest KBB value for my trade in but it just doesn't feel right paying 17k for an 03 plus 2,000 left over from my other loan.. sigh.
well, i will keep looking and thank you for the helpful comments/suggestions
wish me luck on my find..
and i supposed that S wasn't meant for me.

That's not a deal on a 2003. I bought my 2002 with 15K miles in mint shape in September 2006 for $19K with an extra set of rims and snow tires on them. But that was 3 years ago when $20K was average for a beat up AP1!
I would offer 15,500 and see what happens. If you land in between that number and their sticker price you have gotten an okay deal. I would LOVE to have an '03 SSM with that low mileage and overall condition.

i see ap2's (04-05's mostly) going for almost the same price. i'd much rather get a ap2 w/ more miles.
