2003 S2K with hardtop, front lip and spoiler. Very low mileage (7,986)! What does everyone think??

Honestly, I do not think thats a good deal at all...why not spend an extra grand and get an 05 imo...i know i know, the red line on the new ones are 8k (my04-05)

I couldnt justify wasting that much money on a car with close to 8,000 miles on it

Price is a lil bit overpriced eventhough it has the hardtop,lip/rear spoiler as .See it in person and drive it then ask for $1k-$2k less(remember there's always room for negotiation)..I think 03's are the best model IMO because it has the glass window/defroster and tweeters plus it still has 9k rpm on it.

 

Imo, hardtops suck! They're a pain in the ass to put on, take off, etc. With the soft top, it can be lowered or raised at any desired time.

 

Price seems a bit steep considering 04/05 with 0-10 miles go for what $30K +TTL?

If the guy is motivated to sell that price should come down a few grand for you to buy IMHO

Rear Spoiler and front lip are $700 tops and the hard tops retail for $2100 lets say a total of $3k in adds (NO CHANCE its $4k unless you count tax maybe). Anyway new you'd be looking $33K with the extras lets say based on the ole ganley price which means you're basically paying what you'd pay new for 04-05. So are you are getting screwed because this one has 8k miles...

Ok now if that didn't convince you - kelley blue book on private party 2003 S2k in excellent condition with the hard top and rear spoiler (no front lip option) is $27,255.

KBB trade in value is $25,075
KBB Retail value is $29,555

SO basically this guy is expecting to get RETAIL KBB value for the car which there is no freaking chance that'd happen because from what I can tell the guy selling is private party...

Make your own decision, I present the facts

 

Not a good deal. I'd pay $27K MAX for the car with hardtop.

You can easily get one for $25-26K without a hardtop and similar mileage.

 

I think the seller is a little optimistic in his pricing, and I'd be very surprised if he couldn't budge $1K-$2K off his asking price.

 

Depending on the condition, I think a fair price would be in the range of $27,900 to $28,900 with the hard top.
