Default A Good Purchase?

In the market for an S2K

Found a red year 2000 with 39k miles that is in great shape that is going for 14.5k

Just curious what you all think regarding whether or not it's a good deal

Thank you for your time in advance

Also curious as to what everyone thinks in regards to the plastic back window in the early model.

Thank you again.

I think it's a very good deal if the car has never been wreaked or raced. Get a professional opinion done before purchase to avoid any disapointments later.
EDit- Nothing wrong with having a plastic window. This should be the least of your concerns.

Hmm ... glass top is definitely better -- easier to clean and maintain, and comes with defroster too!

The plastic window could crack/get scratched up badly if you don't take very good care of it.

Can the plastic window be swapped out for a glass one?

That is a very, very good deal. I would totally jump on that if I were you. Last March, in 2005, I bought my red 2000 model with 44k miles for 16.8 and THAT was a steal! Yours is a better deal even! The plastic window provides more visibility and looks better in my opinion. However if you want to swap it it will cost about 6-7 hundred dollars for a new top.

I think you have came across a really good deal. As stated above, have it checked out by a indapendent Honda service specialist to see if it has been properly taken care of. The whole top can be upgraded to the newer one with the glass window very easily. Good luck with the purchase
