I've had mine since Oct. '99; 18,500 miles with no problem so far. The only grinding I've experienced is due to premature clutch release on my part. I'm sure that the TSB's released on this automobile are totally legit, it's just that I've been fortunate enough to have escaped them all (so far, knock on wood!).

28,000 miles since Feb '00. Car runs great (there was that oil filter gasket thing, but that wasn't Honda's fault )

No problem here as well since I picked up my car in Oct. 99..... as reliable as all of my previous Hondas (ranging from '80 Civic, 91 Integra, 93 Lude VTEC to 3.5RL and Odyssey)

18,000 glorious miles, no mechanical problems here except for a belt tensioner that is making a little bit of squealing noise

1 electrical problem - dead stereo

Our '00 was purchased used in Oct. 1999 with 1600 miles on it. So far:
-At 4000 miles new clutch (I'm sure it was abuse from the previous owner)

-Diff seal busted (not the fault of the car, string wrapped around the half-shaft and ripped the seal)

-MAP sensor replaced (cured the odd stuttering)

-Accessory belt tensioner spring broke (major bummer and the only time the car would have left me stranded if not for help from a rival service manager)

- That's mostly it. There is now about 23,000 miles and I've been through three sets of tires, 4-5 oil changes, and no real 1-2 grind. I have enough decelleration noise to warrant the TSB and will do it at around 30K. IMO the noise is no worse than what I used to hear with my MR2 Turbo.

The '01 is just passed its break in period and there are no troubles to report. It is amazing how "tight" the new engine is. It's much slower to rev, and definately has less power!
