Goodbye to the S2000
Monday night I sold my S2000. Having an S2000 as an only car here in Chicago just wasn't working out sadly. Bigger errands and tougher weather call for different cars. So after 2 years and 3 months with just over 15,000 VTEC filled miles, we parted ways. I sold my car to Carmax, for just over $22,000. Which was a lot more than any dealer appraised it for. I was able to purchase a 2003 4Runner Sport V8 4WD at a great price of $31,163. The sticker was just about $35,000. It's a smooth ride and lots of space, but an S2000 it is not. The truck is great for what it is, and I'm very happy with it. One day, when I hopefully leave this city for a sunnier place I hope to once again purchase an S2000, of course, if they don't discontinue it after another 5,000 car run this year...
But as I see other S2000's driving around, I'll continue to wave. I'm the guy in the big honkin SUV.
The 4Runner is a great SUV for anyone looking into one. The ride is smooth, and it turns fairly well with its X-Reas suspension system. I finally have 17" wheels, and a 10 speaker sound system!! Hahah So see you guys around!

If you had to give up the S and get an SUV you made a great choice. I have a 1998 4Runner Ltd. It is the most durable, reliable vehicle I have ever owned. I have 77,000 absolutely trouble free miles on it. And it just asks for more.
Good luck with your 4.
