I don't think the 1-2 grind fix was suppose to improve the tranny.
However, they must have done other things to tune up the tranny, it's a lot smoother and tighter (my wife didn't like this part).
Maybe they just changed the fluid(they obviously had to do that since they took it apart!)
No grinding so far...I tried to reproduce it this morning...but again, it's only 45 degrees.......
They chaged 8 hours of labor for this.

My window motor thingy is fixed This one was charged 2 hours of labor.

As far as the seatbelt goes....I have no idea what was changed. The part was less than 2 bucks and it took 2 hours to change.

Review of service by planet honda:
Pros
1. quick
2. rental car (easy drop off)
3. no idea if they fixed the grinding, but it feels real good

Cons
1. they put 6 miles on the baby
2. no one cared to explain to us exactly what they did.....just little girl handing us the key and a bill.
3. No 2001 S2000 to see.....they only got one silver so far...and it was sold.

You think 6 miles is bad? I don't think that's too unreasonable. They put 15.4 miles on mine.

Mike, maybe the guy who couldn't figure out how to properly close the hood got lost in the parking lot and added the extra mileage.

I think 6 miles is reasonable given the work you had done on it

No, they didn't charge me.
Everything is on the bill...but nothing was due. It's all warranty work.
BTW, only the grinding fix require some test drive......6 miles was a lot.
I don't see how they need more than a mile of driving in first and second gears.
I better not find some McDonald's fries in the car.

Would you rather they just park it after the repair without any test drive? If it wasn't fixed right, your first question would be "did you at least test drive it".

At my old shop I had the "honor" of repairing some real exotic cars and when I test drove them I was ULTRA careful because the last thing I wanted was to screw the car up or get in a accident. Believe me, professional techs are alot differant then porters and valets.

If they're going to test the grind properly, then they need to VTEC. I'd prefer six miles on the clock, rather than have them VTEC from cold .
