Got laid off today...
Sorry, but a few things don't add up here. Walmart, $800/wk....equals $20/hr...17 yrs old. $40,800/yr? Nope.
17 yrs. old, working 40 hrs/wk? Did you graduate from highschool at a precocious age? Nope.
Working part time, Mom and Dad bought junior a car he can't afford to keep up? Yep.

The local walmart here has self checkout lanes, for a 24hr walmart...very smart in my opinion, but what sucks is that not all of them are open all the times? Sometimes only 2 of those lanes are open, and they have I think 6.
The thing I hate most about walmarts is the crappy job they do handling the carts in the lot. At any time there are like 100 carts outside, some flipped over, some kissing the fenders of cars.

Oh man sorry to ask about your wages. I was just curious because wages seemed to rocket since I had an after school job.
Look on the bright side. There's always college.
Don't feel so bad, I have to drive a beat up economy car until 7 years after college. Still drive my Civic now.
