Got rid of my Corvette and got another S2000

I know my thinking is a bit odd when it comes to this kind of thing, but I don't understand how some of you can say that car A is "more fun to drive" than car B, and least not when car A and car B are both highly capable vehicles that are a blast to drive. On some roads and in some venues, the S2000 is a heck of a lot more fun than any Vette, but in other situations the Vette is going to be more fun. Which is more fun for a particular individual depends on their personal preferences and the conditions under which they drive.
LOL, on some of the roads in this area, a Lexus RX-300 is more fun than any S2000 or Vette.

As for more fun on certain roads, I wasn't able to find one I enjoyed more while in the Chev. Granted on a long drive, it is more comfortable but I have taken over 3,000 mile runs in both and would pick the S for the 'fun' factor.
Around certain tracks I could see where the Vette could be more fun, if all out speed were necessary.
The sad part for me was I wanted to like the Vette more. I like the looks better, I like the features and comfort, I like the horsepower. But when I added it all up and subtracted how much less 'fun' it was then I went back to the S.
i can understand your wanting the c5, it is a nice car...my good friend just bought one about 6 months ago, i recommended it and i drove it
Now he boasts about the everyday mileage of the car with cyl. deactivate...
.what was your every day mileage?
what was your worst and best, on trips he tells me he gets 28, i can believe that, but every day i would be surprised if he hit 18? thanks...

The Vette just isn't as much fun to drive.
I wanted to love mine. It was a convertible. It had every feature available. Tons of power, lots of torque.
It felt like I was driving a toaster.

Now I am curious to what 911 you drove? And exactly why you did not like it?
I'll have to admit that I was shocked to read in the original post that someone likes an S2000 more than a Corvette, but it made me feel good because I'm picking up my S2000 tomorrow. I just love the look of the 2005 and later Corvette convertibles. I just think they look better than the S2000. I also really liked the 2006 Corvette that I test drove. The torque was amazing and I thought it handled great. I bought the S2000 because I can afford it, because it had laser sharp handling, a telepathic feel to the gearbox, and because I hope the Honda quality means that I won't have the maintenance costs that I've had with my german or Italian cars. I'll be picking it up tomorrow... flight leaves in 9 hours but who's counting.
