Got Ripped off on Ebay
What is his eBay user ID? What does his feedback look like? Most of the time I hear of someone having a problem it is with folks with low feedback or some (lots?) of negative feedback.
Sometime folks get exited about getting a good deal and bid too much - or bid on items from someone "questionable".

He was a newer user on ebay, had 2 good transaction ratings. I believe the user ID was Sexy_Accord. I'd like to thank all the support from the Toronto club members, already seems like this will be resolved somewhat soon.
Tried calling that # and it has been disconnected. I am going to try getting in contact with EBay, and see if they can offer me any contact info for this thief. I honestly wish I were in Toronto right now, because I would be the first one to knock on the door...
Just what we need, the government to take care of stupid people.. Sorry, but it is absurd to think the government needs to step in to help idiots who blindly send a check to someone in CANADA!! Come on everyone knows Canadians can't be trusted..
Seriously though, the government has no place in regulating this stuff. People should regulate it. If someone gets taken then too freaking bad, I am sure they will learn their lesson. If they don't learn their lesson, too bad, I don't want my taxes going towards efforts to help irresponsible people.. That is no what they are for.
Sorry to be so bitter, but people should know better. If they blindly send money away like that they do so at their own risk. Government wasn't created to "take care of us". We need to take care of ourselves..
I admit I have sent money via an Ebay auction, but the prices were cheap and I was willing to take the risk. For bigger auctions I will use an escrow service or credit card if possible..
Yeah it is unfortunate we can't trust people but deceitful people have existed since civilization began. Learn to deal with it or pay the price. Don't go crying to the government becuase you screwed up.
Have a happy holiday!
