I try to read most threads and although I'm sick of reading posts on what is the fastest car of the week, I enjoy reading posts by Xviper who always seems to address these issues in a sensible and accurate manner. BTW, I'm waiting to hear how our cars do against a fuel dragster soon. Maybe I'll read and comment on that post as well.

I said this before, but if the S2k costs $50k bucks and I had to have a roadster and I had $50k bucks, I would get the s2k rather than the Boxster or any other roadsters in this class.

Just like some people say the M5 is the best sedan bar none, I think the s2000 is a top 3 roadster barnone. I think $30k and change for this go cart is an unbelievable bargain. I think the s2000's driving experience is not replicated in any other car.

Thanks Ray. Most kind.
I think dlq may have been worried that you did post a comment and he couldn't see it, which meant he may have been having a "senior moment".
OR, that you forgot to make a comment, in which case, you were having a "senior moment".
OR, that you were just reminding me of what I said in case I forgot what I said, in which case, I was having a "senior moment".

As it stands, we're ALL good to go!

Not another 'old' thread, please!

Here's a nice review I came onto today...... and not by a journalist.

Car Reviews - Sports Cars / Coupes - Honda S2000 2.0i Roadster
Review by Rahula.
From UK on 10th Apr 2003

Ratings
Performance 10/10
Practicality 8/10
Reliability 10/10
Value for money 10/10
Overall rating 10/10

Good Points:
Great screaming engine.
Smooth gearbox like no other.
Sticks to the ground and around bends.
Rare. Gorgeous. Above all the sound.

Bad Points:
No option for SatNav. No Heated Seats or option. No side airbags.

General Comments:
I drove the following cars before making a purchase:
Boxster S
Audi TT 225BHP
SLK 230
S2000

I loved the handling of the Boxster. It is a great little car and with the prestige of the label too. I placed an order for this car after driving it twice but hadn't driven the S2000 yet. The only downside is that the car is too well behaved. It doesn't give you the excitement of driving a sports car and because it is so well balanced it seems to do things so much more lazily. This of course is only an impression you get when driving the car because both the Boxster S and S2000 achieve similar performance figures except the latter cost nearly
