Are grey S2000s invisible?
Exactly! My first choice back in 1998 was a Silver S2000. But after seen it changes color during a cloudy or rainny day, I've changed my mind. (But Silver is a great looking color! Whish they had made a little lighter and brighter like my 2000 Silver Civic EX). Luckly for me, I didn't purchase the Silver car back in Sept 1999, because the dealer wanted over $42,000!
Got lucked out again when Honda decided to import the Yellow one for 2001 model. Since I have already have 2 other yellow cars, I added this one to my collection.
Especially here in Atlanta, most drivers here do not really know how to drive, and most of them drives the SUV; they sit up high and sometime they just can't see. The yellow really shows on the road! The only drawback is also easily spotted by the police as well! (If I'm speeding that is. Actually I had passed by a COP one afternoon doing 64 MPH in 45 MPH zone, and he didn't stop me?? Lucky me!)
Anyway, I got the car the way wanted @ MSRP i Ohio, plus there aren't any recall problems like the 2000 models (yet!).
I also like to point out that the yellow car also changes color depending on the lighting. During the sunny day the car looks great! really bright like the Silver car. And when it is cloudy, the car darkens a little, kind of orangeish? Anyone notice that? Or is just in my head or the pollutions here in Atlanta?

Believe it or not RED is harder to see at dusk than many other colours even black, I think, this is to do with the way the light diffuses from a red car, and something to do with red being right at the end of the visible colour spectrum.
Im sure someone can explain this better.

Squish a yellow and RED comes out!!!!!!!
Hey! That's kind of cruel. For all the yellow cars that I have (or had). I never got hit by another car (Knock on wood!)! And for ALL the red cars that I have drove (even the ones that do not own by me) I got hit by idits! Never got a ticket in the red cars, because it was always someone else's fault! I really missed my Toyota T100 4x4 pickup! Most people will stay few feet away when I drive that thing!

Allan,
If you can't get a red one, try the headlight thing, but red and headlights is even better.

I will try. Red is the first color to dissapear when light goes away. In the ocean red fish hide much better than blue or black fish. Its amazing. Your not going crazy.

As far as red in flat light, I am not sure, but the use many red flags on ski slopes, where the light tends to go very flat at the end of the day
I like my Silverstone "speedbump" (at least thats what SUV's probably think I am... I just make sure people see me by driving with lights on All the time. I prefer it to getting pulled in a red car.
But seriously, it is a small car with no roofline much of the tim, so I can understand how even an attentive driver may miss us. I just drive defensively as always. Definietly need a new air horn though!
