Hi everyone,

I just picked up my car from Lute Riley (Dallas, TX) after the seatbelt & grind fix. They put 102 miles on my car!!! They said that "a few" trips was needed since they had trouble recreating the grind. Another suspicious things was that they had the top down (WTF)..."er to do the seatbelt fix". :mad :mad :mad

Does this sound right or am I just freaking from all the horror stories. I think this sounds like joy-riding.

I almost wish the S2000 was so common that this wouldn't happen!

Post your grind-fix dealer miles and share the knowledge for those awaiting the grind fix.

Thanks,
Will

I don't want to cause any more worry. But it sounds like a little joy riding to me. The top down I buy. Lots more room to work but the TSB says 12-15 shifts from 1-2 not 12-15 trips to your friends houses.

I would demand an explanation, and just compesation.

thats like half-way to houston. i don't know..wouldn't think it would take that long to figure out if its grinding. if you run into any clutch problems you know what probably happened. and the top being down does make it look worse on them.

I had both the grind and the recall taken care of, and then I had to take it back to have the steering wheel re-aligned. All told, I ended up with about 6 miles on the car. 4-5 of those miles were due to the steering alignment (and I was upset about that!).

Someone had some fun with your car...

I worked at a dealership this past summer...102 miles of a test drive is unheard of! I would definitely ***** like crazy.

Over 80 miles on mine. I trusted the Service writer and the tech. They had taken very good care of me on other matters and were doing a lot more than just fix the grind. I told them (just the 2 of them & no one else) to feel free to drive the car all they wanted to, just not to park it where it could get dinged. I stopped by the dealership several times durning the 10 days they had the car and it was always inside.

When I picked it up they told me that they would miss driving it and to bring it back any time. I've made friends with these guys, I've taken care of them and they've certainly taken care of me.

Bellevue Honda put about 10 miles on my car.

The top needs to be down to remove the seats roll bars,...,...., so don't sweat that.

BUT 102 MILES???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had the transmission/clutch fix and the seat belts in separate vists to Eagle in Dallas. In each visit they added 2 or 3 miles. IMO the wrong person at Lute was given your car.
