I have a 02' and noticed some harder shifting in the 2nd and 3rd gear. If I take it slow and shift with a lower rpm on the engine it is normal. I would describe it as feeling the teeth of the gear for a split second before it looks in. I don't feel it on the downshift. Only when I race and shift very fast. It doesn't really grind, but it is not just slipping into it. My Question is: Does anybody else feel the same thing or is this normal with this gear box? ( I am driving shift for about 20 years, so I am not new to it )

 

Do a forum search for the word "notchy". You'll find you're not alone.

I can really feel the shift sometimes. But I've never had an actual grind.
