First of, you probably aren't gonna be making a ton with a BA in Econ...just being real.

I wouldn't buy either. Heavily modded cars are a nightmare to maintain, and GTR's aren't really an exciting car. I test drove one while shopping for my Z. The computer does too much for you...

given that as the lowest man on the totem pole in a large Manhattan finance firm you're going to be spending more nights at the office than at home, i'd cross the S2000 off the list as you'd be lucky to find time to change the oil, much less put $50k worth of stuff on it.

just go for MBA or Masters in Econ. a BA in economics wont get you to a GTR anytime soon...

i have both.

its not as clear cut as youre thinking but to answer your question, it depends on what you want in a car and what you like. no one else can tell you the answer.

that said, it seems very unlikely you could make a very good $70k s2k

my opinion only

Spoken like a naive kid. Im gonna assume you're living on your own cause spending all this theoretical money on a car, while living with your parents is pathetic. Take that cash and either buy your own property or invest it. Blowing it on a depreciating asset is foolish. No ones gonna be impressed with a kid driving a GTR.

>facepalm< at all the people who didnt read the OP's responses to the already over asked questions.

I'm with everyone else thought, if this job pays enough for you to drop 70k out of college into your dream car, I would wait until you purchase a house.

Unless you already have a house (didnt see if you did or not.) In that case, get an S2K, build it to the s2k of your dreams, and get a trailer/truck. You will still be under 70k total.

It won't be streetable, and you would get absolutely raped in insurance in case of a wreck.

(this is really question you must ask yourself, and should wait until you are actually in the position and evaluate which one suits your needs)

id say save and invest until you can have both.

but really though, an s2000 with ppg gears and a race turbo kit really won't be streetable, and will be about as trouble free as the GTR(sarcastically speaking of course) dumping 50k into an s2000 is well kind of stupid to be honest.

I also must add that the GTR is my least favorite "supercar".Ever. But i respect what it does, and it is a tough competitor.

if you are loyal to honda get an NSX for 40k and dump 30k into it. You'll have the classic and exotic appeal that will also give you a great driving feel.
