Yeah, I was reading this and thinking that removing the engine really increases lap times.

I'd say under 400. If I had to give you a number, 350, +/- 50.

Does anybody have a general idea of what the s2000 with no engine, seats, rear diff, wheels, trunk, hood, doors, and top would weigh?

Please dont flame on me, it just a question.
2700 - (400) - (80) - (100) - (100) - (30) - (30) - (150) - (100)

These are all rough guestimates, id have to guess around 1700lbs. I would assume you still have subframes and suspension, brakes etc, bumpers lights etc.

I would peg a stripped shell at around 1200lbs. I know when my 2700lb 240 was stripped down to what you're describing I was able to lift it from the front rad support (levering off jack stands in the rear) an S2K is componently similar in weight.

I bought a 4th gen prelude front clip w/ motor and put it on the back of a half ton pickup, it bottomed out the suspension. Once the motor was out, you could move the clip around by yourself, it was only 400lbs or so (front half of the sheetmetal)

I've never weighed it but it takes 3 of us to lift it. 2 on the rear and one up front with an engine hoist so I'm guessing more than the 400 someone said and less than the 1400 someone else said.

I have a correction to make. I was at L*Con/Ballade on Tueday evening. They said that the acid dipped chassis was about 560 lbs.

Note that this is JUST the chassis/frame with nothing on it.

^Cut that in half, thats about 300...add the steering rack, brake booster, etc...about 100 lbs... my guess of 400 is on the money, maybe?
