is h2o really bad for fiamms??
hey guys,
just finished washing my spa and i think i got water in the horns cause when i went to set the alarm the horns didn't seem to work.. Hope they just have to dry out

Did you try honking the horn to see if they still work?? I figure the compressor would be able to blow the water out. I've washed my car and have never had that problem. I did have the fuse blow out on my compressor though. You might want to check that.

back to normal - silly me waits until early this morning to peak inside the grill. then i figure i'll press the panic button. horns are as loud as before.
however normaly when i lock the car i'd get a faint hint of the horns - now i just hear the compressor

In short, yes, you can ruin Fiamms by getting them soaked. I've done it.
I don't know if this works for ones that got wet, but I recently revived old, dried out dying Fiamms by spraying WD-40 inside.
Depending on the distributor your horns came from (not the store but the actual distributor who sells them to the store), Fiamm does offer a lifetime warranty on them, try this phone number: (231) 775-2900.
