Haggel-ing
@#$%, the deal with my car on the 15th didn't go so well. They started suprising me with charges here and there. Anyway, my plan is to go to Rick Case Honda in South Florida next weekend and do a deal for a 03 black s2k. My question, I have emailed prices from dealers in chicago for 29,9k new. Can I use this to maybe get more for my trade in? Honestly, i dont mind paying sticker if i dont get raped on the trade-in......any suggestions on what to do?
Billy
p.s. do all honda's come with 100k mile drivetrain warranty?

Why not get a deal on BOTH the new car and your trade in? Have you considered the two as separate deals? Your attitude is suggestive of what dealers like to see in incoming buyers....they don't mind getting shafted in one department as long as they get an OK deal in the other. How about getting a reasonable deal on the trade-in (trust me, they'll still make money off of it) AND paying less than sticker on the S?
P.S. Go Gators!

Take any and all emails you have from other dealerships when you go to do your negotiating. That is what I did and it worked like a charm. All I said was either you can have my business now or I will drive three hours north to give the other Honda dealership my business. If they can tell you are absolutely serious about buying right then and there they will do whatever it takes to get you not to leave. The only bad part is having to play their game for a little while. You know...the salesman taking the bid sheet back and forth from sales manager to you. Just keep crossing off their numbers and put down what you are willing to pay. If they keep crossing your number off and raising it, just keep crossing their's off and put your original right back down on the paper. Don't get frustrated and don't let them know you are in a hurry to get the process over with. I sent the sheet back and forth for two hours before I finally had my offer accepted.
The key is letting them know YOU are the one in charge. Sure they are selling you the car but you are the one doing them the favor by offering them a chance at your business. This is where most people fail in car buying.
Good luck and stick to your guns. Don't take a "second best" offer right now just because you "have to have" the car. Wait another couple of weeks and get the deal you really want.
Hello,
I got my car for that same price from my dealer. They were very helpful, to the point that they delivered the car to my house in an enclosed trailer.
I helped to other people get cars from them. I'm sure Paul would be happy to help you out. He'll get you a great price and help you out with the shipping part.
PM me you phone # if you'd like some help and I'll call you back.
