Default Hair dryer?

Question, I just got a hardtop for my 01 and want to pull the windshield tape. Being that I'm in Chicago, it isn't going to be really warm here for a while, but I would like to pull the tape ASAP, it'll look so much better with it off. If I were to use a hair dryer on the tape, would that be good enough to loosen up the adhesive? How long should I warm it up for? Any advice? Thanks!!!

I live in NY and pulled off the tape off my Suzuka blue when it was 20 degrees out. It was a bit hard to get started but came off once i got it goin. I heard some people had bad paint jobs underneath the tape so remove at your own risk.

Most if not all paint problems were fixed with a cut and polish I believe.
