We park outside so we have hardtops for our S2000s that we use during the rainy season. It took 3 months to get the '05 Suzuka. They are very hard to get now. If you can't find a new one, maybe you can get used one from someone here. Ours are both Honda's hardtops.

Hi guys, I've just had a custom hardtop made for my car. I didn't think the OEM one looked sexy enough and the other existing aftermarket ones simply cost too much. My fabricator molded it out of a discarded homemade spaceship canopy. It looks very aerodynamic, too. However, to keep the costs down further, I opted NOT to go with the Honda latches and striker system. This thing is HOT!!!!! And needless to say ............... SEXXAYYYY!
BTW - One question, though .............................. I'm posting this from my PDA from inside my S2000. Can someone please come over and tell me how to get out of my car. The duct tape that holds the HT on is preventing me from opening my doors. Please HURRY! I've to got pee real bad.
ps. This whole thing saved me 50 bucks.
A custom HT will still need mounting hardware. That alone should cost a bundle buying it from Honda.
2 front latches: $90 ea
left rear latch: $118
left rear catch: $57
right rear latch: $118
right rear catch: $227
If you need glass with the defroster traces on it, that's $590.
(BTW: anyone find it odd why the right catch is so damn expensive? The left catch is the one with the defroster attachments, and is otherwise the same as the right except for being a mirror image)
All together. that's $700 right there. Perhaps $600 or so with discounts.
All this will get you is a means to attach it to the car. Wiring into the existing defroster will be even more $700+$590+$100 (cables). That's $1490. Now you have to design, fab and fit a hardtop. I cannot see how it could possibly be cheaper than an OEM through Hardtopguy.

Glad to see you finally got your Suzuka hardtop! The cars look great!
If you're looking to save money and thinking about "custom"... well... you probably haven't gotten very far in the planning stages.
