I've been noticing more and more creaking from the front clip points for my hard top. Is this normal?

Mine, too. It may be that the clamps need adjusting or it may be that you didn't use a silicone grease (Honda sells the Shin Etsu grease for this) on the various contact points at the windshield header or around the rear piece that contacts the body from side to side...

 

as far as I can tell it's not the rubber part that's creaking. I do have the shin etsu grease.

so how do I adjust the hard top? I bought the car with the hard top and the hardware already installed.

Under the hardtop section there is a PDF installation manual. The manual will show you how to do the adjustment.
