Default Hard Top Wind Noise - Driver Side Latch

So for all your hard top owners. I just picked one up, and after install, I noticed the drivers side sits higher than the passenger side.

The passenger side both front and back are very tight and sealed.

The driver side, by the latch has wind noise, as well as over my left ear by the drivers side window. I've tried, adjusting the catchers on the car. Is there anyting else I should do? Should I try loosening the bolts on the hardtop stake part as well? Will that help any?

I did read about silcone hose, but will this help pull down the drivers side, as it sits about 1cm above the windshield frame, and the clamp is very easy to close, where as the passenger side clamp is harder to close. The gap in the back left part of the rear window area seems to be a bit higher as well.

Any and all help is appreciated.

I tried searching and there wasn't much on this topic.

You could try purchasing the redesigned strikers, although I thought all 02+ came with them already. Can you physically push the hardtop down so that it fits flush or does it seem like something is preventing this from happening?

I can push but I have to push hard, there is a definite gap. There isn't too much play with the hardware so I'm not sure if thats going to help. I plan on trying to adjust the stakes on the hardtop itself later today. I think I'll go by some tubing as well. Anyone have a pictures of what it looks like with the tubing?

Take out the inner panel on the hardtop to get to the latch assembly for the rear. There should be three bolts that hold it onto the hardtop. If you have a friend with you, keep the bolts loose, latch the rear latch fully, then have your friend apply pressure to the side of the hardtop in a downward motion while you tighten the latch bolts. That should ensure that when you latch it, you get a good seal. Then, do the same for the passenger side so they're even.

I'm defn going to try this tonight. Along with the rubber hose for the front, hopefully this solves both wind noise situations...
