Default Hardtop Defroster

Just finished installing my hardtop on my 2005 S2K, a fairly easy job, but have a couple of questions. When the defroster is turned on, does a relay prevent power to the soft top defroster. Sure do not want to fry the folded top. Also, the kit had a defroster switch and relay but no instructions for these parts. The parts list indicated that these were not used, however, that same list said the same thing on parts that had to be used, such as the side catchers. Thanks for your help.

When the Hardtop defroster is pluged in the softtop defroster does not function nor does the top dpwn switch.

I don't have a glass rear window, so no soft top defroster, but...

It's having the hardtop itself installed that disables the up/down switch. (There is a button on the left rear catcher, near the hole, that gets depressed by the hardtop.) I wouldn't be surprised if that also disables your soft top defroster.
