Of course thats BS, they just don't want to be bothered with something you might not be happy with when the're done. Personally, I think this is something you should try to do yourself. The last resort you can take it to an independent garage and let them make an attempt at a fix. The top does fit with very little or no leaks for the majority of S2000 owners. Good luck

I've already tried fixing it myself with no luck. Its quite obvious where the leak is coming from, and I don't think it would be that hard for them to fix. I don't know why they think they can't do it. I'd do it myself but I can't seem to get the hardtop to move when I loosen up the bolts....

Sorry ,I can't speak from experience but my HT fit perfect and was water tight outta the box. I can state that from other posters on the forum that the top WILL fit with little or no leaks. The solution may be tedius and require more time than a few hours and a few attempts to get it right but obviously it can be done. Keep trying and don't give up. A trickle down the side glass is one thing, a car with soaked carpets and/or seats is unacceptable.

subscribed....I've got two s2ks both with oem hardtops, one installed by dealer and one installed by me. They both have wind noise and I'm gonna try to adjust it tomorrow. I installed hardtop strikers on my ap1 and it helped a little. Besides the hardtop catchers, do the hardtop latches have much adjustment?

There are (should be) some spacers under the Hard Top Lock Handels that can be added or removed for adjustment. Thickness = 1mm each, three pieces standard...

This will not get the top any farther forward but might help some if things are getting close or to eleminate some wind noise.

There is an adjustment for load but that is for the soft top only.

UPDATE:

The honda dealership recommended another local place to take my car to which specializes in things like this.

They told me that one of the side latches was bent almost 45 degrees (probably from the previous owner dropping it ), and this was what was causing the problem because the latches weren't pulling the hardtop towards the front.

Does anyone think this is a plausible explanation?

The side latches are like $100 each from hardtopguy.com (http://www.hardtopguy.com/store/prod...?productid=424) and I really don't want to spend all that money if this doesn't fix the problem.

So what should I do? If I replace it do you think that will fix my problem?

I think I know what your talking about now. When the rear of the HT is placed into the sidecatchers and clamped down, the HT is automatically misaligned because of the bent bar like clamp. Take the bent clamp off and use hammer or vise or anything else you can think of to staraighten this piece out.

The place where I took it said they tried their best to straighten it out and they couldn't get it back to normal...
