Default HardTop q's?

Noticed that my 02 S2K has some parts that my 04 does not. Am I lucky enough to have a HT kit already in the car from the previous owner

If it does look like the 02 has a HT kit, what parts will I need to remove from that car so I can put it in my 04? I plan on getting a HT soon (used and cheap hopefully) and just want to make sure I have all the neccessary parts. Everything from the 02 will work on an 04 right?

How very timely this hardtop topic is because I just received a phone call from the salesperson who sold me my S, last August. She said "I just wanted you to know that the person that traded-in your S2000 just brought in the hardtop, and that you can pick it up whenever you would like to." What a pleasant surprise. But upon my asking "Does it have a stand, too?" she said "No it doesn't." So my question to you - my S2000 brethren is this: Is it possible to buy a hardtop from Honda without it coming with the stand, or is someone at the dealership trying to bone me out of a $600 hardtop stand?
Thanx in advance.

The stand is an optional accessory. There is a member on the forum who built their own out of PVC piping, just as functional but at the fraction of the price. Plus who cares if you blow $600 on a stand. You just got a free hardtop... by the way: HANDA alot cheaper at this site $478.

You are of course quite right, 50FEE. It's just that I didn't want to get ripped off by someone at the dealership.
Thank you for the info.

Nope, still requires install of a kit. It's basically the same from '02 & up I believe.

The AP2s dont come with everything, but I think they included some things that the 00-01 don't have like the defoster wire.
