I was looking at hardtopguy.com and in the option of having an MY01 i don't need to get the install kit? Is that true? Seems like the MY00 and MY02+ requires a kit. Reason i asked cause i called a place to check out a hardtop and they said i would also have to order a kit for MY01.

any help with be great! thanks.

 

here is what it states at hardtopguy.com... doesn't say anything for MY01


* KIT-A ($178) - Required for Model Year 2000 w/ VIN lower than 5730
** KIT-C ($136) - Required for Model Year 2002-2003 for any color except Sebring Silver and Suzuka Blue

 

It may depend on the color (I don't know why), as implied in your second post. I bought a top for my 2001 Spa from hardtopguy, and didn't need a kit. Everything required was in the crate.

Call Jeff (hardtopguy) and ask - he is helpful and knowledgeable.
