Default which harness to buy?

i am going to buy harness for my seats. couple of questions:

1) which brand should I get?? I am not going to use it on tracks but i think that stock belt does not look good on aftermarket seats. don't want something very expensive

2) how can i install them without a rollcage?? someone told me that i can install them to the bottom of the car. are there any instructions on how to do it??

"Evolution in action"

When I'm messing with the most important safety system in the car, what looks good is not super high on my priority list. Obviously it is different for you....

It doesnt matter how good the harness is, it can be the best set of harness money can buy but without a proper mounting point your 10x better off with the OEM seat belt.

Yeah, you can mount the harnesses on the floor behind the seat. In a frontal crash they'll compress your spine to 1/2 its size, but if you survive at least you'll know that you looked good while gettin yourself paralyzed.

Oh and if you roll w/a harness on and no rollbar your head will pop right off. Good stuff.

To install a harness safely in an S2000, you need an aftermarket roll bar. A harness bar is also a bad idea unless you are really short, because the harness and the race seats will hold you more upright than the stock seats and 3-point belts. That means you need more protection than just the roll hoops and window frame.

You also have another option: install the harness just for static display, and keep the OEM 3-point belts for actual driving. Using a harness for street driving is actually a PITA anyway. Lots of people who have full-on track cars with roll bars and harnesses keep the 3-pts in for convenience, even though the harnesses are properly installed.

Come on guys, be nice. Batikan, that's a pretty extensive mod list to be asking these type of questions, but it sounds like you got a pretty awesome S. I agree with Mike, you'll want a roll bar with a harness bar to install your harness, anything else would be less than safe and idiotic if you ask me. "Cool looking" harnesses are not worth risking your life over. I'd check out a company called Schroth, I have no experience with them as I have stock seats, but their harnesses seem nice for the price, but if youre not going to track the car I wouldn't waste the money. Buy some nice coilovers!!!!
