Sell it if you are bored with the car. Why whine about it to us?

i'm in my 30s, on my second AP1 and i still love the car. its a daily driver with the J's exhaust and all.

perhaps i'm different since i totally enjoy gear-whines, LSD chatter, brake screech and twinplate ice-cream bells.

cheers..

I got bored and traded my DD for a STi. Now I want another AP2 before they are gone.

Most of the time you really want what you don't have. I fell in love with the STi after driving one but after owning one for a year and a half the ride is possibly worse and it doesn't feel as planted in the corners. Sure it grips like hell on corner exit but I might have been going into corners faster with the S. The s2k touches all the senses so even though you may not accelerate as fast as a Z or EVO/STi neither of those cars seemed as balanced. In the S2 the clutch/tranny are meant for eachother and nothing ever really seems outta place. You can have fun in rough weather with the AWD cars but any other time on dry road the s2k will always seem more fun to me. I got tired of the s2k doing exactly what I told it to and now I really miss that feeling.

I bought a 86 Mustang GT a few months ago so if I'm not having the fun I think I can with both cars then I'd like to get one of the last AP2s sometime next year.

I purchased my 2001 s2K new and I have driven as my second car in good weather. The S2K is strictly a performance car that is both versatile for practical use and is exhilarating within its capacity as a performance roadster.
IMO this car is ahead of the curve by high performance and economical performance car. I get 22 MPG shifting continuously on city or rural roadvdriving at low to moderate 4 to 6,000 RPM's, and 30 MPG driving at continuous highway speeds from 65 to 80 MPH!
Honda Motor Company' Philosophy the S2k was to commerate Honda Motor Company

Been down that road too, I got exhausted with the car. I then got a company car to drive as a DD so my S gets taken out every few weeks or so, and when I do I remember all over again, especially when I take it through a mountain road.
With every car, if that's the only car you drive then you naturally get used to it. It's only when you have something to compare it to will the strengths of the car come back out.

Im pretty sure all I need is a turbo to refresh the adrenaline Also looking into buying a 3rd gen integra for a DD. Its completely orgasmic once it hits vtec and the cornering is awesome. But trying to cruise at 80mph at 7am half asleep can get rather frustrating when you just want some quiet and comfort

I always look forward to driving the S! It's not a dd driver for me though.

To go from an AP1 to an M3 is quite extreme!

s2000 is a car i'd buy again... and if i do that'd be my 3rd
i DD my car i dont see why you'd get bored with it.

-better than driving a crappy civic or corolla
-it gets decent mpgs (almost 30)
-option to go top down
-no freeloaders asking for rides

besides who needs back seats when you dont have friends
