Losers... what is the point of doing this. I know people who leave their doors unlocked just so this wont happen. Even with doors unlocked they've been slashed. Its just jealous assholes.

Go through insurance and park more carefully. Believe it or not, its better to park on the street in a well lit area than in a "protected" garage. The only protection they offer is towards the perps who want not to be seen.

I understand you weren't expecting this to happen and it most definitely sucks but you'll make it out of it and you'll get something better! Honestly, I would get a quote from a dealership and not even worry going to a trim shop if you want the money to get a hard top.
I think ill consider the hardtop route. I liked the convenience of a soft top just because the weather here can be so emotional!! you get rain just as quick as you get sunshine.

in the long run though , i would imagine a hard top will prevent theft better than the soft top.

They do also make hardtop locks for our cars now, so that wouldnt be a bad idea either if you do get a hardtop.

True, but if you can get the $$ for a hard top in this situation, go for it. Although neither a Robbins nor a EZ-ON would be my first choice, you could still get one of those fairly cheap later on. If my top got slashed up, I would go to a Honda dealer for a quote instead of doing it at our shop.

I had a person pour a super sized coke through the open sunroof of my prelude waayy back in the day so im always on guard for these random acts of assholeness. Park where you can watch your car from a window or park where other people will be watching it and you should be fine in the future. Garages are nice for keeping the rain off your vehicle but they are actually less secure that just parking outside under a street light.

sorry to hear. these guys seem pretty good, ive only gone there for some top protectant. they seem a little pricey, i dunno though. if they are a little pricey it might be good because insurance will give you more money and you can get a hard top with it.

Robbins and EZ-ON tops are popular tops within this community, but as I said, they wouldn't be my first choice.
