Have a few basic questions about S2000's...
Im somewhat a new owner of a S2000 ... my mother recently got a black 2002 as an engagement present
Anyways I drive it all the time and I am hooked. I will be getting one soon, I guess a '03. I have a few basic questions. I have used the search and gotten a lot of my questions answered, but still haven't found a few things I was looking for. So here goes. First of all what is the bolt spread on the hubs... is it 5X114.3 like most Japanese cars? Secondly what is the widest wheel possible in the rear? I have found that some people run 10.5's on the back with 285 tires. How about an 11" with a 315 tire? Or am I dreaming? Sorry but I love the look of fat tires on a car. What is the stock compression ratio for a S2000? And last... the car runs a MAP sensor correct? Because I see no MAF on the car so Im assuming it has to have a MAP... and if so does it read boost and if so how much? I would appreciate any insight on the car. Right now I have a 97 240SX w/ a S14 SR20DET motor so Im pretty hands on and car knowledgable so please dont hold anything too technical back. Thanks.

Compression ratio is 11.0:1
The car uses a MAP sensor and I believe it will read 5 volts (2.9 volts is atmosphere). I may be wrong on this one though. If you are going to run boost, you will need to either use a check valve or an electronic device such as Comptech's Electronic Signal Modifier (ESM). The ECU doesn't know what to do with boost.
I am running 255/40/R17s in the rear on Volk CE28Ns. According to the tire size calculators, that tire is 10.04" wide. I would think you could run a bit wider, but not much. You will have to wait and see if any replies and says they are.
