we were having trouble shifting into first, second, and reverse....so the dealer is replacing 1st and 2nd gear.

is this the remedy?

what do you think the cause could be?

sounds like bad synchro rings to me, but I am sure you'll get better responses on this. I am sure if they are taking it aprt, they can remedy the prob.

Keep us udpdated on this. I cant help you "cause/remedy" wise, but I'm interested in what the dealer figures out. I have a slight problem similar to what you are talking about, and I think it is getting worse.
